I like the new fourm. I think it’s a little chaotic. I liked that PCF was easy to navigate and not cluttered. I feel like this site has a lot going on and is pretty tough to navigate. I’d remove the backgrounds on each section and try and clean it up like PCF. Also make it easier to navigate to the home page. PCF would let you click the logo and go back to home and that’s a feature I would like to see implemented here.

I also really like how you’ve seemingly succeeded in getting some singles collectors on here. I think that is a really good idea and a value add! I appreciate you can have your own page. I may take advantage of that myself. Overall I think that this site will continue to grow and gain activity! I wish we could share it on PCF because had I known I would’ve moved over. I was wondering what happened to some of the other memebers.

I agree with the suggestion. Just color or graphics fir the main section titles, but leave the sub forum titles plain and easily to read. Ease of navigation is imperative to get a lot of the older collectors over here.

Yeah ease of navigation is super important! But, if there is anyone on the planet that says TCB is easier to navigate than this I'm not sure what they are on. Still I feel like this could be a better platform for true collectors than PCF once it gets going. I'm hoping we can get a solid base on here to make it more active.

I hope so as well. I joined PCF from HobbyPhilics channel. But I think the purpose of this is to keep it more close knit that PCF and allow valued members who make good contributions to the community which a random wouldn't do. Growing the base will be real important though. I would say SEO could be improved because Poker Chip Forum will be the most commonly googled phrase when looking for a poker chip forum. However, I think just personally inviting people and growing it slowly will be best.

The problem with chipboard is it doesn’t have sections where chip specific discussions and more importantly photos are stored and carried on. The only thing I like is the “group text” type of communication that I think can be emulated here with some tinkering. Personally I’m done trying to fix anything and am going to work with others on building something new and more engaging for everyone. Kudos to Danny for having enough faith in spending his own money on this site…putting his money where his mouth is.

The other issue I have with TCB is that when I want to go back and search through things it’s really tough because it’s all archived. Super annoying. I’m cooking up some other ideas because as far as singles collecting goes people are way behind the times. Like I didn’t know about Chip Chat until like my second year. Plus it’s all in the mail and on different days compounded with the fact that you can’t pay online. I feel like if we got Chip Chat to exclusively run some online auctions on here it would be massive! There is a lot of great memebers on here.

It is what it is with Tommy, He's obviously either insecure or jealous that we got some traction here. While we pick up a few users a day from both the sets and singles collectors it's not the biggest forum site. I tried to make buy/sell a secondary focus, while at PCF it seems its whole focus resides in the classifieds. I get that there needs to be balance but I'd rather be more chipping oriented and not focus so much on closed up Indiana casino RHC's and 5-10x flips on light weight Paulsons along with the chronic flip and flip discussion. He can keep that stuff.

I'm not competing with PokerChipper, at least not directly and intentionally. I explained that to do the chipping business I needed a place that I can keep record and history of my sales vs. paying eBay 15% or some other site more and not give someone control of the data with a simple ban because he doesn't like me that day which is exactly what happened!

As I've said here before I am not trying to monetize this board either, I'm not bending people over for a "cut of the action" then having the audacity to say the things like "I don't make any money from PCF" like he does, it would seem to me looking at the way the site works and costs to host he is full of complete shit.

As with every online forum board or BBS there will always be those that don't "like" certain people for one reason or another so I accept that, maybe some person or people did complain about something that I said, but that's life. I was initially keyboard warrior attacked simply for starting this page when I required some edge conditioning clients and chip buyers to complete their transactions here. That's fine, you don't have to hang here but you have to complete your sale with me here. After the first few of those is when the ban hammer dropped and its fine, everyone who need services or wants to look at whats for sale knew where to find me either via text or this site. He truly hasn't affected me or my services.

I'm having fun developing this site, it has a different vision, there's no special hidden rooms for exclusionary buys for flipping, no divisive politics section for folks to fight in and most of all there's no moderator driven speech control or "god mode" admin pushing folks around or extorting them for money. 300 members in just a few months speaks volumes. The short note in the About us section explains most of this but thought I'd say it again as there's been a lot of texts and messages asking where I've been which has been motivational.
