I think the value is having a live chat room where you can bounce ideas off each other and what not. I think that would be a cool feature to see added. But the fourm is still young so you should feel free to experiment. If the change isn’t good I’m sure people will coke in here to let you know! There’s a few people on That Other Place who asked what happened to y’all. I was thinking of letting them know via PM that this site exists, but don’t wanna get banned on the other site.
It is what it is with Tommy, He's obviously either insecure or jealous that we got some traction here. While we pick up a few users a day from both the sets and singles collectors it's not the biggest forum site. I tried to make buy/sell a secondary focus, while at PCF it seems its whole focus resides in the classifieds. I get that there needs to be balance but I'd rather be more chipping oriented and not focus so much on closed up Indiana casino RHC's and 5-10x flips on light weight Paulsons along with the chronic flip and flip discussion. He can keep that stuff.
I'm not competing with PokerChipper, at least not directly and intentionally. I explained that to do the chipping business I needed a place that I can keep record and history of my sales vs. paying eBay 15% or some other site more and not give someone control of the data with a simple ban because he doesn't like me that day which is exactly what happened!
As I've said here before I am not trying to monetize this board either, I'm not bending people over for a "cut of the action" then having the audacity to say the things like "I don't make any money from PCF" like he does, it would seem to me looking at the way the site works and costs to host he is full of complete shit.
As with every online forum board or BBS there will always be those that don't "like" certain people for one reason or another so I accept that, maybe some person or people did complain about something that I said, but that's life. I was initially keyboard warrior attacked simply for starting this page when I required some edge conditioning clients and chip buyers to complete their transactions here. That's fine, you don't have to hang here but you have to complete your sale with me here. After the first few of those is when the ban hammer dropped and its fine, everyone who need services or wants to look at whats for sale knew where to find me either via text or this site. He truly hasn't affected me or my services.
I'm having fun developing this site, it has a different vision, there's no special hidden rooms for exclusionary buys for flipping, no divisive politics section for folks to fight in and most of all there's no moderator driven speech control or "god mode" admin pushing folks around or extorting them for money. 300 members in just a few months speaks volumes. The short note in the About us section explains most of this but thought I'd say it again as there's been a lot of texts and messages asking where I've been which has been motivational.
