Is there a current, live set of chips at a place you’ve played that you would buy a set of if they rotated them out and they became available on the market? Which chips would you be in a rush to purchase?

My top choice would be the Beau Rivage, simply because I’ve played so much there and have a lot of fond memories of Biloxi. A lot of the chips are bike tires, but I love the rich colors.

My second choice would be Players Casino in Ventura. I also played here a lot, and loved the atmosphere. It felt a lot like a home game because everyone knew each other. I’m also a sucker for CA chip colors.

I've played at Beau Rivage. To me the chips are "meh" mostly because I hate oversized inlays. I regret not buying a set of the Harrah's from the TCR sale though because it's here in my local area and I've played there too. I just wasn't wild about the edge spots and hot stamps. Geez, I guess I'm just too "picky". But I do realize that if you're buying actual chips that were in play, you have to take em or leave em.
As far as LIVE chips.. well that's a $$$ proposition that I can't afford. Maybe $1 chips or fracs (if available) would be completely doable but $5 and above are not for me.

I thought about it and YES, I'd love to have gotten a set from another nearby Casino: The Grand Casino Gulfport! Those were awesome and I wish I had gotten some. I even drove down there post Katrina to see if there were chips laying all over the place, but Police had the road blocked off.
I'd guess though that someone got some and I've even thought about getting them on Tinas, but haven't done that yet.

Also one of my favorites. Beautiful chips! Possibly my favorite $1 of all time.

Huge fan of those chips here! I loved watching Dolly's Game, which was a $1k/2k mix using those very chips and denominations. They look wonderful stacked into giant piles like that. I was so enamored with them, I had a custom label made and stuck them on some Tina Arias in 1/10 of those denominations for my own mixed games. They weren't quite as cool as I had hoped though. :)
