What's your take on chip the dumping accusation?

Huh, go figure. I'd have to watch the heads up play to decide if the chip leader dumped chips. This reminds me of the NAGB controversy in that there are rules, but if you can abide by the rules while finding a legal loophole, then you profit. The WPT should know if they're going to pay bonuses for busting "star" players, that can be exploited and later the two parties can split the money (if it's done on purpose). Solution: quit offering the bonuses, and stick with prize money alone.
EDIT: In this case it wasn't a bust bonus, it was simply for taking down a bracelet event. That could still be exploited, but what the hey, they offered it, they should pay it. Would the other player have received the bonus if he won or was the winner the only person eligible to win that bonus? They should pay or stop offering the bonus.

Not the best decision to offer a bonus that isn't possible for everyone to get. Since only 2 players left I don't see how the collusion could effect the other players. They only colluded to beat the pay out system.

Morally not the best for the game. WPT gold asked for it by making the bonus unavailable for all.

In reading the rules as I saw them they didn't break the rules. The rules mention collusion to disadvantage another player. Their were no other players.

Yeah I just skimmed through the rules and I couldn't find anything that said you're not allowed to make a deal for the bracelet. But I'm pretty sure that's a rule. Maybe I missed it.
But bottom line, nobody got hurt, so who cares.

Yes, screw the bracelet, there was an extra MILLION dollars on the line 😂. I'd take second place in the event gladly if I was going to split (or get a chunk of) that million!

Not sure how they could prove that they colluded anyway. or prove that he didn't just "Play Bad" under pressure. All the controversy is a stunt to get folks talking, they'll have to pay.

Bad optics aside, it's much ado about nothing for me. Deals get made all the time when money is on the line. I don't see this as being any different. For half a mil, I'd happily dump chips in the same position too and not lose a minute of sleep over it.

I made it to final two players at a tournament for charity. The other player wanted the bracelet so bad I agreed to let him have it if I got all the money. He agreed. I took the pot and 2nd place trophy. I always wish I asked for the first place trophy too. The money is where it's at if you want jewelry go to a jewelry store.

I don’t see how the WSOP should have an issue as it doesn’t affect their bottom line and the only two players were fine with the outcome.

But WPT would have a pretty good case to refuse to pay out the bonus, if it wasn’t legitimately earned.
