There is quite the saga going on at the orange wall! And at the Commadore64 based Chip Board. I've weighed in in both spots but I have to post here as this is base camp.

To come at Oscar @Okku by this nut job, telling him what content he puts in his videos and how to do them, who to give credit to etc is utterly ridiculous. I suppose he/she will soon be calling ABC/CBS/NBC with programming demands. Oscar keep doing what you're doing with the videos, I never once saw you promote buying/selling "counterfeit" chips personally or as an employee of the shop where you work. To add insult to injury that clown admonishing you and telling you how to make your videos and credit sources, which you do in a great way, telling you it's not "good enough", give me a break! This guy doesn't even contribute one ounce of good to this hobby! Just negativity, self imposed authority and probably couldn't make a 10 second video of his own if he had to!! (yes it pisses me off).

I wasted time reading thru the other sites threads, much easier and more organized here and PCF than the headache providing disorganized way the ancient platform at the CB is on this topic. What really keeps me returning to the thread at PCF and CB is the fact that I keep asking the person to identify themselves and provide the authority they claim as the representative of the Chip Board and they ignore all requests. In my book that removes you from any authority or claim to represent. If I pull you over on a traffic stop and have plain clothes on (would never happen) and refuse to identify as the police or even give you my name........ooooo that would be a problem!! So now here comes the Image police with NO ID. Are they embarrassed? Posing?? or just rude and ignorant? I think we know the answer to this.

There was more than a few comments regarding the concern for the ceramic chips that are printed and molded in china, some literally fearful and worried that some folks may be dupped 30 years from now that they are the genuine article. This claim may be the single most baseless fear in the hobby. IMO if you can't tell the difference between the china ceramics and real casino chips, EVEN ChipCo's you may need to re consider being in the chip collecting hobby because there is a night and day difference the china ceramics and even the worst made real casino chip, including Icons!

I've had discussions with many friends regarding the issue behind images submitted to the ChipGuide and the utterly rude "representative" that trolls the inter webs demanding that the images be credited to ChipGuide while making the baseless claims that they "own" the images up to and including "jailhouse lawyer" claims about asserting copyright claims and threats of infringement claims against people using the images, including some using the very images they submitted for use by the guide, all while not even identifying who the heck they are. This is unfathomable, and completely ridiculous and unprofessional. Now don't get me wrong, if a person commented in a post where I used an image from the guide and politely messaged me requesting that I please make mention of where the image was taken from, and used please and thank you Id probably be very receptive to doing so. But when an unidentified clown rudely posts "image courtesy of chip guide" and proceeds to hammer that he is the authority while implying threats and refusing to even identify him/her self??? , hmmm guess what you're going to get from me..... that's right.....

Up next........The great divide between chips and sets
