There has been a flood of attempted signups from Russia and Washington DC Identified by security as known Spammers and Fraudsters.

May ask someone like @LouBdub but my guess would be intelligence operatives. DC and Russia? Russia could be intel snoopers or hackers, they have plenty of both. DC though, my guess is hackers based there ARE intel snoopers. Gee, Chipper must be showing good internet stats for them to turn the "Eye of Soron" in this direction?
 
LOL! I'm sure its a VPN as the VPN Blocker is off right now while some coding is being done on the back of house for Chipper. It started as soon as the VPN Blocker was turned off. I'm sure the same shit goes on at 🍊 who knows..... I just want to be straight forward and transparent as to what goes on HERE @KingZilla

The VPN blocker will go back up for our site as I'm not sure why anyone need to block that when signed in here and theres only a couple reasons to sign up with a VPN, duplicate account or fraudulent account. It's no different at 🍊
 
All is well here at Chipper! Just an update.

The signup spam from Russia and Poland continue and even stricter security measures have been adopted.

All member information provided to the site is kept strictly confidential and out of reach of these scammers. If you question anything about member contact (which there has been no reports) just reach out. Not sure if this is specific or a forum spamming thing in general but it hasn't affected the site so no concerns.

This is why each new member is manually approved.

Just a note, but is the VPN blocker currently on? Because at the moment, I have my VPN running on my phone and am connecting without any issues. Just letting you know in case that's something that needs to be fixed.

It's off, but all signups are manually approved so it's all good. We are testing the new auctions plugin so I have some features disabled.
